2010-2011 Spelling Lists

This year second grade will use Scott Foresman Reading Street for Language Arts.  Second grade spelling lists will be different from previous years.  Please visit the St. Thomas Website for the Weekly Lists.

Listed below are the complete lists; sometimes words from content areas are added.

Spelling City has online games for spelling practice.  Another teacher has entered the second grade Scott Foresman spelling lists.  Look for the title of the story we are currently reading.

We pretest on Thursdays for the following week.
Each week 10 - 12 words are tested.
The spelling lists go home on Mondays on the weekly homework assignment sheet in the Blue Homework folder.  They will also be typed on the 2nd grade page of the St. Thomas School Website
