Spelling City - Games to practice our spelling our weekly spelling words or other important subject words.  Weekly spelling words are listed under the title of the Reading Street story we are currently reading.

Math Cats - This site has a variety of open-ended math explorations.  Second graders should try Math Cats Explore and Math Cats love MicroWorlds.

In school students will have access to Spelling City. On this site students can practice the words by playing games and taking practice tests. Second Graders received their user names in September. (Most user names are first name followed by STA without any spaces. The password is school.) If they'd like to practice at home students need to go to the site and (1) Log in - top right corner. Make sure you highlight "student" and not "teacher" (2) Students will then be able to choose the list they'd like to practice!  If you want this week's spelling words, choose Reading Street Lists.  Our spelling words for the week are listed under the name of the story we are reading.  There are also lists for other subjects we are studying.  (3) Choose test, practice, or game. It's easier to play the games if you print a copy of the list words.

Students can read their Science and Reading Textbooks at Pearson's Success Net.  Short books about topics we are currently studying in class as well as a few activities are also available at this site. Students should log in using their first and last names (no spaces between the two words).  The password is second.
